The challenge
Sotheby's customer base has expanded dramatically in recent years to include the new wealthy elite - oligarchs, hedge fund managers, private equity players and celebrities. With aspirations rising, Sotheby’s asked Figtree to re-evaluate their design and communication output with a view to increasing its sophistication.
The thinking
Treading carefully between the desire to build a brand and the necessity to display priceless works of art without interference, Figtree developed a a simple communication system. One that exposed Sotheby's knowledge and passion for the subject matter.
The outcome
The result freed the communications and design team up to promote Sotheby’s as a premium brand in the luxury goods market.
