The 'Rencontres Photographiques d'Arles' is a major photography festival encompassing 60 venues across the city of Arles from July through to September. It features innovative and diverse artists with often surprising, always intriguing results.
The identity cleverly leaves the photography showcasing to the professionals. Instead, it is based on simple typography and a striking, colourful poster campaign. It launched in 2002 with the line, ‘Arles is going to be spicy and hot this summer', and it certainly was.
Go, see, and be amazed that so many eyes can see the same world in such strange and separate ways.
