Earlier this year one of our designers, Limor, got her first taste of Scotland when she visited the home of Bailey Guitars up in Maybole. The purpose of her visit was to photograph Mark Bailey’s guitar workshop, a showcase to how some individuals still honour the craft of bespoke manufacture.
During her time with Mark, Limor and her photographer took many photographs that were used in the graphic identity for one of our clients. As guitar maker to the stars, Mark Bailey was an ideal candidate for this kind of thing. What made him even better is that he now spends much of his time teaching others on his unique ‘build your own’ courses, where any enthusiast can fashion their own guitar out of raw materials.

We love Mark Bailey guitars because the courses are not just about one skilled individual making amazing guitars, but his drive to help other people bring their passion to life. In an age where more and more things are temporary and disposable, Bailey guitars represents an enduring labour of love. The creation of some with value beyond a monetary figure. Something priceless.
And that, we think, is something quite special.
